NMP is a polar non proton transfer solvent with the advantages of low toxicity, high boiling point, outstanding solubility, strong selectivity, and good stability. Widely used for aromatic hydrocarbon extraction; Purification of acetylene, olefins, and dienes. It is also used as a solvent for polymers and as a medium for polymerization reactions.
